Poppy Upcycled Dress in Gingham Check Pattern

Hello, my name is Poppy! I am handcrafted and upcycled dress. I was made with good intention only!

This upcycled and handmade dress is a stylish and sustainable choice. It features a V-neckline, two spacious pockets on sides, and a gingham check pattern in white and navy colours. The white vintage alike trim adds a touch of romantic aestethic.  Pattern cutt is simple based on classic smock dress, but we add few details to make it special. Collar, pockets and front have white adorable trim which gives nice and charming effect. Short sleeves are delicate puffled. Skirt is crinkled, therefore the dress provides a sense of snug during movement, it does not restrict the body. Dress is one size universal reaxed fit. The length of the dress reaches above the knee, the back is slightly longer.

Dress is reworked from vintage bed duvet. From a second-hand fabric found in one of the charity shops we managed to sew two pieces of this gracious dress. Fabric is natural- 100% cotton and thickness and touch ensure comfort. It’s breathable. Gingham check in navy and white is safe and seasonless option.

Personally, we love this cutt, this length, slightly puffed sleeves, the perfect depth of the neckline, in which feel relaxed and free!  Our inner children are full of excitement. And this blissfful dress has pockets! Comfy enough to wear it casual with trainers and jumper, you san style it in more heavy grunge way with boots and biker jacket or in a dreamy aesthetic with elegant and girly shoes, bows,laces for more serious ocasions. It might looks a bit as a school uniform if you will match it with appropriate accessories like knee socks. Multifuncional piece!

This piece is seasonless you can wear it all year round. Depends on weather you can wear it wih tights or cozy socks during winter time with jumper or solo during hot summer days with flip-flops and sunglasses only. Pattern and colours are timeless as well, so even in few years this piece will be classic and contemporary item on your hanger. You can style this simple dress in many ways, various aesthetics. If you like easy-to-wear items or you building capsule waredrobe when multitaskers are welcome that’s probably dress for you.
