What ‘upcycling’ actually means?

  • Upcycling is an activity of taking old unwanted items and reusing them for another purpose. It’s like giving new higher quality than the original. Descarded product is decomposed in a creative process to become greater value with new functionality.
  • There is a lot different ways and ideas how to upcycle. For example from out-of-waste rubbish artist can create beautiful and inspiring artwork. Furniture are great topic for upcycling. Replacing drawers, door knobs, imposing a print, tearing off the old layers. Even rework of old building and create completely new design based on existing structure, walls or floors we are able to generate unique and special value. It’s all about repurpose. There are many possibilities. Therefore we just have to see them and let our imagination work.
